The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung is a non-profit, private, independent and cultural institution, which is committed to the ideas and values of social democracy.
Promoting democracy and development world wide, contributing to peace and security, shaping a responsible globalised world, as well as supporting the enlargement and development of the European Union. These are the international aims of the work of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.
By supporting projects in more than 100 countries, the FES is actively involved in the constitution and consolidation of civil society, state structures, the promotion of democracy and social justice, the reinforcement of free trade unions, as well as the advocacy of human rights and gender equality.
With the help of Turkish partners, the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung organises workshops, seminars, lectures and international conferences – not only in Ankara and Istanbul, but also in many medium and
small cities in Anatolia.
